This week is Championship Weekend! In just about 36 hours, we will know who is playing in the Super Bowl and we are in for an exciting two game slate.
In this article, I will be providing you with my Conference Championship daily fantasy football lineup picks for FanDuel. These lineups can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks.
Be sure to also check out our weekly DraftKings DFS lineup picks and lots of other great NFL DFS articles and NFL DFS tools to help you win big! Also, feel free to give me a follow on Twitter @Mark_Kieffer.
Patrick Mahomes, QB - KC vs CIN - $8,200
The most expensive quarterback on the slate and will probably be the most popular one too. Kansas City has the highest implied total, the only total over 30 points, and this team doesn't score 30 or more points without Mahomes going off. Last time Kansas City played Cincinnati, he threw for 259 yards and two touchdowns for 20.86 FanDuel points. In the playoffs, however, he has scored 38.06 and 40.02 FanDuel points each of the last two games. If you have the money in the budget, he is the play to go to.
Joe Burrow and Matthew Stafford are $7,500 each. Both teams have similar team totals. Cincinnati is fourth in pass play percentage (65.34%) the last three weeks and Kansas City has a suspect pass defense, No. 27 in the league. If you watched last week, that Kansas City secondary was very suspect and got rinsed. If Cincinnati has success, it's through Joe Burrow's arm. Burrow is my favorite GPP play this week as Cincinnati has as much passing upside as Kansas City, is facing the worst pass defense on the weekend, and they have done it against Kansas City before just a few weeks ago.
Reserve Jimmy Garoppolo for your large field contests. At $6,200 he will open up the roster for you but he could literally put up just 5 or 6 FanDuel points.
Cam Akers RB - LAR vs. SF - $6,200
The Rams have fallen in love with the run game recently. In the last three games, their pass play percentage is No. 28 at just 50.26%. San Francisco has a good run defense, just N0. 6. The thing is, however, is that the Rams are No. 5, Cincinnati is No. 8, and Kansas City is No. 19. In other words, most of the running backs face tough run defenses.
Joe Mixon RB - CIN @ KC - $8,200
I love Mixon as a pivot from the Cincinnati passing game or as part of a super-stack with the passing game. Kansas City has the worst run defense on the slate. Cincinnati has not been passing and if they get down in the game, they will be passing guaranteed. If they are close or strike first, they could rely on the run game more to try to get out of Kansas City with an upset. It's the best matchup on the slate, however, the probability of meeting value is lower as the team has been passing the ball the most during the playoffs out of the playoff teams.
Also consider: Sony Michel ($5300) in a large GPP. Michel had just one carry against Tampa Bay but predicting the Rams running back usage has been tricky. People will be on Akers and Michel could rush for 80 yards and two touchdowns and it wouldn't surprise me.

Cooper Kupp, WR - LAR vs. SF - $9,700
Kupp has the highest floor on the slate. He is pretty expensive. When they do pass, they tend to go to him in the big spots. He essentially has the highest probability on the team of catching a touchdown and he has a double-digit floor. But it comes at a price this week for sure.
Deebo Samuel, WR - SF @ LAR - $8,400
Deebo Samuel is the San Francisco offense. He runs it, catches it, scores, etc. He has had success against the Rams as well this season having scored 27.8 and 26.96 FanDuel points in the two previous matchups. That does not guarantee success this week but if the San Francisco offense does get going this week, Samuel will be the key to it.
Tee Higgins, WR - CIN @ KC - $6,400
More of a GPP pick here. He had a quiet 7.7 FanDuel point game against Kansas City while Ja'Marr Chase won people GPPs the last time they faced each other. Higgins has the same upside as any other receiver on the slate, he can have a 30+ point FanDuel point game. I have to figure that Kansas City looks at the film from January 2nd and make some adjustments. Things could then open up for Higgins.
Also Consider: Tyreek Hill $8,500, Ja'Marr Chase $8,000, Tyler Boyd $5,800, Odell Beckham Jr. $6,300, Mecole Hardman $5,300.
You can go Kelce ($7,700) or Kittle ($5,800) and both are fine plays. I expect those two to be the highest owned Tight Ends on the slate. It's a small sample size but Tyler Higbee ($5,500) is a red zone target and has scored three touchdowns in two games against San Francisco this season. He is more boom or bust because if he doesn't score, he likely has 6-7 FanDuel points but he is my favorite GPP tight end on the slate. I also am considering C.J. Uzomah ($5,600) as part of a Cincinnati stack in a large field GPP.
Welcome back RotoBallers to Week 13 and another week of starting pitcher starts and sits! Good pitching has been a bit tough to come by! It's Friday and that means we are back to having all 30 MLB teams in action! The games are more chopped up than usual for a Friday with two early afternoon games and three early evening games that didn't make it onto the main slate for either site. That leaves us with a 10-game slate... Read More
