Cold War Assault Rifle dethrones Armaguerra as best Warzone mid-range weapon - Charlie INTEL

Warzone expert WhosImmortal has revealed a Cold War Assault Rifle loadout that could dominate the mid-range meta ahead of Season 5.

The Armaguerra 43 has been dominating the mid-range meta in Warzone for some time now, but CoD expert WhosImmortal has revealed a Cold War Assault Rifle loadout that can outgun the game’s top weapons.

We’ve seen plenty of buffs and nerfs throughout Warzone Season 4 Reloaded, drastically shaking up the meta at all ranges. That being said, Vanguard weapons continue to dominate, with the likes of the KG M40 and Armaguerra 43 rising to the top after the NZ-41 nerfs.

If you’re looking for something a little different as we head into Warzone Season 5, the final chapter before Modern Warfare 2, then there are a number of guns from past titles that can still their hold own.

Warzone expert WhosImmortal has shown off a Cold War AK-47 loadout that he believes can challenge the meta in the final few months.

Long-time players will remember a time during the Verdansk days when the CW AK-47 was comfortably the best weapon in Warzone. Then, the release of Vanguard saw the old-school WWII weapons take center stage.

However, with all of the adjustments we’ve seen in Warzone Season 4 and the mid-season update, he feels the AK is ready to become a contender once again. In his August 20 video, he compared the Assault Rifle to some of the game’s top guns, and the numbers were surprising.

When comparing its TTK with the likes of the STG44, NZ-41, and KG M40, the YouTuber found that the AK-47 could dispatch enemies quicker than all three at around 0.8 seconds, especially up until the 38-meter mark.

WhosImmortal mentioned that the AR is especially effective in mid-range fights, which he highlighted as the most crucial range. “The area I think the AK stands out the most is this 20 to 45-meter range. That primary mid-range area you see almost every fight take place in on maps like Rebirth and Fortune’s Keep,” he explained.

Check out WhosImmortal’s Cold War AK-47 loadout below:

The YouTuber did mention that the Cold War AK-47 does have a slightly trickier recoil pattern than some of the other meta weapons, but this setup goes a long way to keeping it in check. By running these attachments the gun’s ‘S’ recoil pattern becomes narrower, making it far easier to keep under control.

The Armaguerra 43 has dominated the mid-range meta in recent weeks, but the AK-47’s high damage output and impressive TTK mean that it could overtake the SMG as the go-to sniper support as we head into Season 5.

“This Cold War AK setup is back in the conversation, this thing erases players when you land your shots,” WhosImmortal concluded.

Warzone 2 will introduce areas around the Al Mazrah map called Strongholds, so here’s what you need to know about the new mechanic.

Here’s everything that’s been revealed about Strongholds, a new mechanic that is set to feature in Warzone 2. These areas will force players to fight for valuable rewards in the new iteration of the battle royale.

Call of Duty Next provided insight into Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2, as content creators and streamers got their first look at gameplay. Players got to test an Alpha version of Warzone 2 and while the gameplay was revealing, the devs also provided a ton of new information about the sequel.

When Warzone 2 releases on November 16 it is going to feel drastically different from its predecessor thanks to the game’s new features. We know that circles have undergone some changes, as did Buy Stations with loadout drops removed.

However, you won’t want to skip over the new Stronghold mechanic as it could deliver a major advantage to players in Warzone 2.

Strongholds in Warzone 2 are designed to integrate AI into the game. Strongholds will appear across the Al Mazrah map and players will have the choice to approach them or ignore them.

Those looking to take on extra combatants and earn additional rewards should be on the lookout for Strongholds. These areas will feature high density enemy AI that you’ll have to combat.

Strongholds will not be easy to breach as you’re likely to run into locked doors and enemy AI that are prepared for your arrival. The devs have mentioned that AI in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 is smarter and deadlier than ever.

AI located within Strongholds will react to counter your tactics and strategies to breach the location. Given the improvements made to AI, it’s no surprise to see the devs emphasize their presence around Al Mazrah.

If you manage to take over a Stronghold, you’ll receive valuable loot as a reward. This high-tier loot could set you up for success during the late stages of a Warzone 2 match.

Strongholds are coming to #Warzone2. AI will occupy buildings across Al Mazrah. Engage with them to get better loadouts and items. Find location of black site to find even better loot.

In case you missed it, players will not be able to purchase loadout drops at Buy Stations in Warzone 2. Instead, you’ll find your customized Gunsmith weapons at upgraded versions of Buy Stations called The Shop.

As it turns out, one of the rewards for conquering a Stronghold is an item that “allows you to purchase one of your customized Gunsmith weapons at The Shop for free.” While we don’t currently know how much these customized weapons will cost, the opportunity to get them for free will make conquering Stronholds worthwhile in Warzone 2.

It’ll be up to you and your teammates to judge the risk and reward of attempting to conquer a Stronghold. With this new strategic layer added to Warzone 2, Strongholds will surely play an important role come November 16.

We’ll be sure to update this section with in-depth details concerning the functionality of Strongholds once they’re revealed, so stay tuned!

Warzone 2 arrives soon after Modern Warfare 2, so here’s everything we know about the sequel to CoD’s popular battle royale.

Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is officially on the way, so here’s everything you need to know about Modern Warfare 2’s new battle royale including the release date, gameplay, Al Mazrah map, platforms, and more.

Call of Duty: Warzone has changed significantly since its March 2020 release, with the game receiving every weapon from Black Ops Cold War as well as Vanguard, Verdansk getting nuked, and the setting now taking place in the Pacific.

That version of Warzone is being left behind with Modern Warfare 2, as Infinity Ward are bringing ‘Warzone 2.0’ later this year. The new battle royale was finally unveiled at the Call of Duty Next event, so here’s everything you need to know including the release date, Al Mazrah map, gameplay, platforms, and more.

Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is the sequel to CoD’s hit battle royale, an entirely new game that brings Warzone to the brand new Al Mazrah map with new weapons, vehicles, Operators, the Gulag 2.0, and new mechanics.

Warzone 2 was built alongside Modern Warfare 2, featuring “Modern Warfare II content and systems with brand-new progression and inventories.”

Activision have confirmed that Warzone 2 will release on November 16, 2022, roughly three weeks after Modern Warfare 2’s October 28.

November 16 will mark the start of Modern Warfare 2 Season 1 and bring the highly anticipated DMZ mode alongside Warzone 2.

Although heavily leaked, Infinity Ward finally unveiled Warzone 2’s Al Mazrah map at Call of Duty Next. The biggest Warzone map yet, Al Mazrah takes players to Western Asia and includes classic maps from the Modern Warfare series.

While exploring Al Mazrah players will be able to find classic Call of Duty maps such as Showdown, Terminal, Quarry, Highrise, and Dome. The map also takes advantage of Modern Warfare 2’s swimming mechanics, so the rivers and ocean are all traversable via swimming or boat.

Another brand-new Warzone 2 mechanic is how the circle will behave on Al Mazra. There will now be several circles dividing players across the map before coming together for the end game.

Warzone 2 is similar to the original Warzone but features some brand-new mechanics to shake up the gameplay.

You’ll still be fighting to be the last man standing in Warzone 2, but the way you loot, acquire loadout weapons and fight in the Gulag have all received major changes. Here’s everything you need to know about Warzone 2’s gameplay.

Infinity Ward have made the controversial decision to remove Loadout Drops, giving players access to their custom weapons through ‘The Shop’ instead. There will no longer be any Perks in Warzone whatsoever, and you must either scavenge or purchase your equipment separately.

However, the new Strongholds mechanic allows players to pick up one of their custom weapons for free. These areas will be polluted with the new AI, so fight through them and get beyond the locked door and your next custom loadout weapon will be free from The Shop.

Warzone 2 has also shaken up how players will loot their gear around the map, bearing more of a resemblance to Blackout or PUBG than the original Warzone.

Weapons, Equipment, and Self Revives will no longer pop out of Supply Boxes, instead, players have to access a menu where they can pick out their items.

Your loot will be divided between your loadout and your Backpack, which is used to carry items such as Armor Plates, ammo, and extra Equipment. You can also loot other players’ Backpacks too, so you don’t need to worry about sorting through a huge pile of loot.

The Gulag has also undergone a massive change with Warzone 2, where players will now fight 2v2 with a temporary teammate, and scavenge for weapons and Equipment found throughout the area.

There’s also an AI Jailer, and after he’s killed he will drop a key. The first team to pick up the key and carry it to one of the doors will win the escape, winning the Gulag.

The Gulag is the perfect place to use Warzone 2’s new proximity chat feature as well.

Warzone 2 players can also find AI scattered all over the map, dropping weapons and providing bonus XP. They don’t have much health nor deal much damage, but content creators playing at Call of Duty Next complained that they made things too confusing.

Furthermore, Call of Duty devs have confirmed that the RICOCHET anti-cheat system will be available in both Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 at launch. This should provide a fresh opportunity for players looking to play a cheater-free battle royale from the start.

Warzone 2 will be released on both current and last-gen consoles, as well as Battle.net and Steam for PC. Following in Modern Warfare 2’s footsteps, Warzone 2 will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.

Activision confirmed the news on June 8 as they look to provide a wide-reaching experience across both titles.

Activision have confirmed that Warzone will continue to exist after Warzone 2 is released: “Warzone will continue as a separate experience that will include a continuation of player progression and inventories within that Warzone experience.”

Here’s the right attachments, Perks, and Equipment to make the best loadout class for the XM4 Assault Rifle in Warzone Pacific Season 5.

The XM4 can dish out some serious pain with the right loadout, and here are the ideal attachments, Perks, and Equipment needed for the best XM4 loadout in Warzone Pacific Season 5.

The XM4 Assault Rifle, modeled after the original Black Ops’ Commando, is a medium to long-range weapon perfect for your primary Assault Rifle or as an accompaniment to a Sniper Rifle in Warzone.

While it isn’t one of the most popular weapons in Season 5, you can still use the XM4 to cause mayhem with the right attachments, Perks, and Equipment selected.

Here’s the best XM4 loadout in Warzone Pacific Season 5.

We’ll start off this Warzone loadout by boosting the XM4’s bullet velocity and damage range with the help of the Agency Suppressor muzzle and 13.5″ Task Force barrel. The muzzle’s sound suppression will keep your shots hidden from enemy minimaps.

Next, we’ll bring the weapon’s recoil under control with the Field Agent Grip, and you can use the Axial Arms 3x optic to pick off enemies from a distance since the XM4’s iron sights are obtrusive.

Finally, we’ll cap off this loadout with the 45 RND magazine to ensure that the weapon has plenty of ammo to take down multiple enemies across Caldera, Fortune’s Keep, and Rebirth Island.

We recommend equipping E.O.D as your first Perk to help you withstand explosive damage from grenades and thermites. Overkill will allow you to get two primary weapons from your loadout so that you can pair the XM4 with an SMG like the Marco 5.

Finally, Amped will allow you to quickly switch between your two weapons. Regarding our choice of equipment, we went with the Throwing Knife to finish downed enemies quickly and the Stim to get a health boost.

To unlock the XM4 Assault Rifle for the best Warzone XM4 loadout, you’ll have to make sure you reach level 4 in Warzone or Black Ops Cold War.

This is very easy and will be accomplished within a game or two. The main takeaway is it gets you to level up the XM4 quicker and get your attachments sooner.

If you’re looking for a great alternative then we recommend trying out the Cooper Carbine which is an extremely easy weapon to handle. The STG44 currently holds the number one spot in the Assault Rifle meta, so give that a go as well.
