Six Dutch athletes will make their appearance in the final of the Diamond League in Zurich this week.Eye-catchers are Femke Bol, Sifan Hassan and Jessica Schilder.Lieke Klaver, Liemarvin Bonevacia and Nick Smidt also participate in the last stop of the prestigious series of athletics competitions, in which all 32 parts are discussed over two days.A check for 30,000 dollars is ready for the winner of a part.Bol has the best chance of winning the top prize with the women.The three-time European champion won all her races over 400 meters hurdles in the Diamond League this year.She also won the final last year.Hassan runs the 5000 meters, the distance in which she only finished sixth at the World Championships in Eugene.She ran two games over 3000 meters in the Diamond League this summer.She is the reigning Olympic champion in the 5000 meters and holds the European record with 14.22.12.Schilder competes in the shot put, the event in which she had her international breakthrough this summer.She won bronze at the World Indoor Championships, bronze at the Outdoor World Championships and gold at the European Championships with a Dutch record of 20.24 metres.Klaver and Bonevacia run the 400 meters, Smidt can compete in the 400 meters hurdles.Jamaican athlete Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce can win the Diamond League for the fifth time in the 100 meters.Always know what's going on?Download the free RTL Nieuws app and stay informed.
