In 2021, to achieve the goal of carbon peaking by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2060, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment has issued the Guidance on Coordinating and Strengthening the Work Related to Climate Change Response and Ecological Environmental Protection and the Carbon Monitoring and Assessment Pilot Work Program. Proposing to strengthen greenhouse gas detection and implement reduction pollution and carbon, thus further optimizing the energy mix and driving industries to improve efficiency and reduce consumption. As a global technology leader, FPI has been committed to researching and developing high-end analyzers and instruments and embedded them throughout the lifecycle of the products and solutions we provide to customers.
The AQMS-450 is an FPI independently developed ozone analyzer based on chemiluminescence technology, used to detect and evaluate the CO2 concentration level of one of the environmental air quality parameters (SO2, NO2, CO, O3, PM2.5, and PM10). This analyzer can measure the concentration of CO2 in μmol/mol (ppm) level, with strong anti-interference capability, high repeatability, and accuracy. Meantime, its measuring data and condition information such as default, temperature, flow, pressure will be automatically transmitted and inquired. It is convenient and accurate for competent departments to estimate the air quality.
The analyzer adopts GFC NDIR technology. The two beams passing through the GFC enter the White cavity, and the intensity of the beam passing through the reference chamber is not affected by the CO2 in the cavity and is measured as the reference signal ruler. The intensity of the beam passing through the measurement chamber is attenuated by the absorption of CO2 radiation in the chamber and is measured as the measurement signal M. According to Lambert's law, the CO2 concentration in the gas to be measured is obtained by comparing the ratio of the two signals.
High responsiveness, high repeatability and easy operation.
Range up to 2000ppm, with a wide measurement range and low detection limit.
Integrated CO2 purge device to eliminate the interference of ambient CO2 concentration fluctuation on the instrument measurement.
Adopt the White cavity design. The surface of optical devices uses special anti-corrosion treatment technology, good stability, long service life.
Environmental monitoring in urban areas, carbon emission monitoring in industries campus boundaries, routine CEMS emission monitoring.

FPI Pioneered Use of Chemiluminescence Method in Ozone Pollution Monitoring
Ambient air—Automatic determination of ozone—Chemiluminescence method (HJ 1225-2021), a new national standard issued by the Ministry of Ecology and Environmental of the PRC, was officially implemented on March 1st, 2022. Compared to the previous national standard——the UV absorption method, the chemiluminescence method, is characterized by strong selectivity and high measurement accuracy. The UV absorption method measures the concentration of ambient ozone based on the absorption of the...
Praxis/Urban Air Quality Monitors deployed in Oxford
16 Praxis/Urban air quality monitors have been deployed around the city of Oxford as part of the OxAria research project. South Coast Science is one of the commercial partners for the project, supplying air quality monitoring devices. OxAria is a collaboration between academic, public and commercial partners that aims to understand the air and noise quality impacts of COVID-19 across Oxford city. It is led by the Universities of Birmingham and Oxford and funded by the Natural Environmental Research Council.
CERC assesses Low Traffic Neighbourhoods in Lambeth and Southwark
As part of an emergency transport response to the pandemic, Low Traffic Neighbourhoods (LTNs) have been introduced in many London Boroughs, to help people safely walk, cycle and use public transport. CERC consultants have been evaluating the air quality impact of LTN schemes, including five schemes in Lambeth and the Walworth and Dulwich schemes in Southwark. Using local traffic monitoring data as input, the modelling assessments consider pre-scheme and post-scheme scenarios to assess the air quality impact of...
ENVEA delivers its 10,000th MP101M particulate monitor
Air pollution is one of the main environmental problems to be addressed by cities worldwide. In order to foster sustainable development and mitigate climate change, it is important to provide national and regional authorities with high quality and very accurate monitoring solutions for the measurement of criteria pollutants (PM 10, PM2.5, O3, CO, SO2 and NOx) concentrations in ambient air.
Best accuracy award for ENVEA at the International Air Quality Sensors Workshop
ENVEA has been awarded by the 2021 International Microsensors Challenge, organized by Airparif and Airlab Solutions, where 35 companies from 13 worldwide countries have participated. The challenge concluded that ENVEA’s Cairnet mini-station, based on NO2 Cairsens micro-sensors, provides the most accurate measurement. Check the video here: https://youtu.be/889M18vJnak Compact, easily deployable, and autonomous thanks to its solar panels and battery, Cairnet® enables you to cost-effectively track...
