Operation Monarch: Godzilla vs Kong is coming to Warzone

The Call of Duty Warzone: Godzilla Vs Kong event smashes into Caldera later this week, with Operation Monarch set to add a monstrous new mission for fans to take on.

The wait is almost over, and while fans can already unlock some pretty adventurous cosmetics, the event itself could prove to be very different from others before it.

It doesn’t appear to be tied to any kind of reveal, meaning that fans will have something new to do that doesn’t involve annoying Krampus or surviving hordes of Zombies.

Here’s what you can expect when Operation Monarch begins later this across PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC.

Call of Duty Warzone Season 3 continues to produce new content, and Operation Monarch is set to be the next big launch as part of the current storyline and focus for the development team. According to the latest information, Operation Monarch will be a limited-time event that focuses on the arrival of Godzilla and King Kong onto the Caldera map. The mode will be played in a Quads format and looks set to include a small group of players battling it out to try and control the two titans. Reports indicate that players will need to fill a meter by performing certain actions, while also trying not to be eliminated from the game. Players will be able to respawn in the Resurgence fashion, but we will have to wait and see what the final product is when it goes later this week.

Activision has confirmed that the Godzilla vs King King action will start on Wednesday, May 11, 2022. We even know when the rocks and trees will start to be thrown about, with the Operation Monarch release time scheduled for 5pm BST, or 9am PT if you live in North America. It’s unclear at this time if the game will need another large update so that Operation Monarch can begin, or if all the game files are included in the current package.
